Crazy Week

This week is a bit crazy for me. So the comic update will be delayed. I will work on it Friday - Sunday. As I have a midterm this Tuesday, then must get an assignment in for the same class before Thursday, which is also the due date for an accounting assignment.

However, said delayed update page might be easy. Depending on how I go about it.

I could:

a) Have a half page of male Riley falling asleep on his bed, then some white text on a black background which sorta panel fades away.

or

b) Jump right into the dream, with a panel of black background with white text to explain part of the dream, then a panel of Riley's dream. (Note, I'm being vague to keep said dream a surprise~)

Basically, the white text on the black background helps slow things down, so to speak. Gives time for thoughts or an explanation while not really progressing too much in too little time.
I'm thinking I'll probably go with option a), because you get to see more of male version.

I Do Not Agree With Your Oppinion But I Will Fight To The Death To Defend It.

Allright Well Great Sage You Do Pose A Good Point There. However, I Am Somebody That Will Read A Hundred And Some-Odd Number Pages Of A Comic In One Sit Down, And Then Realize That I Just Read Every Comic To Date And Go "Awwww, But I Want More Now!" No Seriously, I Once Read Like A Hundred And 20 Something Pages Of The Zombie/Vampire Webcomic "Last Blood" In One Sit-Down. I Kinda Want The Story To Progress Fast And Keep It Fast. Thats Why I LOVE Misfile. It Updates EVERY Weekday Without Fail. And You Will Get The Happy Little Holiday Wishes When They Are Appropriate. They Are Usually In Color Which Makes Me Happy Because You Don't See Enough Of Ash In Color. That Is Of Course Because It Updates Every Weekday. God That Would Make Me So Happy If This Comic Could Update Every Day. But I Know That Is Impossible. I Guess It Is Just Wishful Thinking. Pun DEFINATLEY Intended. Lol. Oh And BTW This Entire Post Has Every Word Started With A Capital Letter. No Really Go Back And Read It Again. :P

Here's how it is

I agree with both of you. Anticipation and Fast Paced stories are good in each their own way. Fast paced is better for those Action based comics, such as zombies/vampires and car racing etc.
However, I'm aiming for more of a mundane feel, everyday life of a person who normally doesn't face much action. There will be comedy of course, and the like. However, I can't update everyday. That would most likely force me to work on the comic and only the comic. Of course, if I were paid bi-weekly to do this comic, I'd dedicate myself alot more. However, this is more because I want to, and for free. So it'll be done once a week.

Also, the first time through the storyline got out of hand, cause I didn't really pay attention to it. So if I intentionally try to keep things slow, it should work out much better than before.

And I noticed something was odd about that post XD Every word starting with caps, sneaky sneaky =P

Anyways, I'll try to make chapters last about 15 - 20 pages each. You know the storyline graph thing? Intro, rising action, climax, falling action, then conclusion? I'll try to vaguely form each chapter to that. Its like a mini-story in every bite! Wheee, that sounded like a cereal ad~ Yup.

So I will be as constant as possible, doing one comic a week~ However if you're lucky, you may get two if I have extra time that week, you never know.

And as you know this week is rather crazy, so don't expect anything until Friday when I start to work on it or Saturday. Gah, I hate accounting! >_<

So yes, keeping progression slow so as to not break the story, updates once a week because I usually have other things to do as well. Laters *waves*

Thanks for taking that upon yourself~ ^^
And I think I liked the "Every word begins with a capital" better than the "Every other letter is a capital" one.

You Are Very Welcome

You are welcome. I have seen the original comics and they seemed like you know what you are doing. I figure that if you were able to get a greater fanbase that maybe there would be more people posting on the comics. It looks kinda sad right now with just me, you, and Great Sage. Heh heh. Well I will write to Misfile and The Wotch. It turns out that Happy But Dead has stopped updating and they kinda killed it anyway with the way they started to take it. Kinda a shame. I DID like it. Oh well. Then I guess I can write some of the other comics that I read. They aren't necessarily TG comics but I'll write to "The Zombie Hunters", "Dead Winter", and "VG Cats Comics". Heck. I'll write to "El Goonish Shive" just to see if they will give you some kind of an advertisement. However, I can't write these until you give me some ammo to use. Put up the old comics. Let them see that you know what you are doing. Because right now if I write them I am going to look like a crazy person saying "Hey there is this AWESOME comic named Wishful Thinking. What? Oh no, they only have 2 comics right now. But they DID have more and then they went on Hiatus. Huh? No they aren't there anymore. But they WERE there. I swear." You know what I mean? So if you could either send me the comics via email. Or if you could post them on the website then I would be able to send the letters without looking insane. Because if I send them now it will just look like you posing as a fan so that you could just get publicity. What is your e-mail? I will send you mine via email. I'd rather not post it up here where the whole world can see it and decide to send me countless spam after spam after spam. Wow. This was an incredibly lot to say. I just woke up and decided to respond to your post. I'm sorry I'm alittle hyper-active when I first wake up. Heh heh. But anyway if you could give me your e-mail and then you would be able to attach the comics files to the e-mail and I would be able to send them out so people could see that you DID originally have more.

Zetsuboushita~

As for my email, rireyu (at) hotmail (dot) com. That'll keep the spam bots away, MUAHA XD

However, I will only give 3 or 4 of the old comics, because for the most part, I am ashamed of them. And the ones I'm most ashamed of are on my old computer still which likes to sound like an industrial lawn mower.

Anyways, I'll give you 3 or 4, and if you must~ Give links to my deviantART as well, to show that I have potential ^^
which is http://riley-san.deviantart.com/

Also, I don't mind it being just us 3 commenting at the moment~ =P
Cause it seems that every time I upload a comic, I get 1 or 2 new fans. Eventually they'll also start commenting.

Peace Love and Rock and Roll

Hey you guys, Wow Chris you really are Super Lucky genki guy :D - I thought I was hyper:P.
Yeah I wonder what happened to that girl with the really long European name that used to comment sometimes?
I am sure Rairi and +WT+ has more than two (2) fans, but if that is the case at least we are rabid, super enthusiastic ones.
Personally I am just looking forward to a story that has more to say than some. Angels and Aliens (that's another TG comic for you to check out Chris)updates on the dot regular as clockwork every Sunday and it has been going two + years - it still has not got more than halfway through the first month of the main character's new gender fun but it is great despite precisely nothing happening for over a year!!!. If +WT+ is like that then I am cool with that - and regarding Misfile being fast paced.... let me see, by my calculations Ash has beemn a girl for about four months and has shown very little sign of getting closer to accepting her new reality, now this is a style thing of the writer and I respect that - I even think Misfile is occasionally a work of genius but it is definitely not fast paced - I tend to sleep through the car races any way :) (although the latest one was fun - check out Ash's response to being asked to be a bridesmaid - Oh Rairi promise me one of girl Riley's female friends is going to do that to her bestest gal pal :)it would be a laugh riot - anyway enough witless babbling back to my eternally vigilant perusing of the finest TG fiction the internet has to offer - hy i prefer Dedicated as a label than obsessed

Destruction Hate and Smooth Jazz

Lol do you like my Title? I couldn't think of a real one so I just did the exact opposite of yours oh Great Sage.

I didn't mean fast paced for Misfile the way you guys are taking it. I meant a fast updateing comic nothing more. Also, I don't believe that Ash will ever accept it and I am glad for that. I have grown to know Ash as a Boy trapped in a girls body and nothing more. If Ash started acting like a gilr I would be like "Noooooo!! Ok ok calm down Chris. Ash is probabbly just having a nightmare. It will end in one or 2 comics." *10 comics later*

"Nooooo!!!!! Ash what happened to you!!!"

Lol. Usually I like seeing the slow change but the way the authors have pulled it off I am hoping Ash never changes.

Also, I can't believe that Ash is going to be a bridesmaid!!! I loved 2 comics back the 2nd and 3rd pannels. I love when they do that cartoonish art style. What I loved about panel 2 though is the way Ash says NO! with a big happy innocent smile. I was trying to picture myself saying that and I was even doing it outloud. But whenever I did it, it just came out so comical. I mean smiling like that and saying a loud very blatent NO! to somebody is just funny. No really, go back, try to match Ash's smile and say NO! happily but blatent. It's funny.

  +Fictionania and beyond +

Actually Chris, Ash has evolved a little character wise - note several episodes back when she said something ot the effect that she was no longer turned on by her breasts? Well to me this was the glimmer of the feminisation of Ash - I like Misfile but I wish Chris H would change his pattern a little - I mean it is always a sure indication of the end of a Chapter when he has a car race :).
I too will enjoy Bridesmaidification of Ash and Em.
Anyway I am all excited about the next exciting instalment of +WT+ which *will* show up sometime within the next 48 hours (Right Rairi?). I love inventing silly titles for my posts - it is a fun sport for all the family. :D

It Needs More Rum!

Bacardi Breezers, yay! I like my rum coolers, so shush xD
Oh oh, got my hair cut~ well, layered that is, and shortened my bangs. So my hair no longer is that similar to Riley's anymore, buuuut... it at least is much lighter and not extremely hot on these summer days =)

That aside, I'll probably update Friday, yes. If I can draw up 2 or 3 pictures and select one of them for the first panel. It will be like +WT+ Idol, which picture will get to advance to the comic page? Though there will only be one judge, so its kinda biased... poor pictures that don't get in~ xD

Anyways, yes. This Friday I'll be working on it for most the day. Maybe I'll even get a head start on next week's page as well. Never know~

Very Grave News

Well I failed English for the year so my parents have grounded me. I have no clue if I will be ungrounded before the end of the summer. I am very sorry Rairi but I will be unable to write the letters until I am ungrounded. I look foward to all of the new +WT+ comics that will be up when I return though. Pray for me guys. Maybe it will help me be ungrounded faster. What really sucks though is my BIRTHDAY is during the summer. MY 16TH BIRTHDAY!!!! This was supposed to be the best Summer of my life but instead it is now the shittiest of my life. Oh well see you guys whenever I return. :(
-Chris Mosque, out.

  That is not cool

Sorry to hear of your misfortune, but look at it this way, You will learn from your mistakes and do better next time won't you?
It took me three tries to pass my basic and advanced Art Classes, it took me ten years to get into Art College and every time things went pear shaped on me I got up and tried again - I passed eventually and even though I am not now a professional Artist like I dreamed I still believe I did the right thing in persevering. failure breeds strength of character and your parents are perhaps seeming harsh and unfair but what they are doing is out of love and concern for your future. Of course it sucks, I agree being stuck indoors during Summer is not good - I am baffled though how this affects your letter writing though? unless " Grounding" has a different meaning to what I think it does. Bear in mind I am middle aged and Scottish and so come from a very different generation and Culture to your own. When is your birthday? I shall try and remember and wish you well on that day if possible.
keep your spirits up - it gets better I promise you

  harsh

I know how hard it is to hide your interest in something weird like the subject matter covered in this comic and similar ones - I, fortunately live alone (the only perk I can assure you :))so I don't answer to anyone about what I have on my computer - not that a few webcomics dealing with gender identity is anything wrong of course but some people can be perturbed by this stuff - at least I ain't a filthy Paedophile :P

  Post Script

Thanks by the way fro the onemanga tip - there was more than one gender bending manga available there - although most were female to male transvestite stuff (not my thing)there were a couple Male to female transformation ones too.
I hope I am, not coming across as some kind of vile pervert here :)

Another Source

Compared to Onemanga, Mangafox.com has a lot more gender bender to it. Just click the "Manga directory" link at the top, and then before the list there's a search text box thinger, click the button beside it which says "Show Options" then check the box "Gender Bender" and then hit the search button, there should be easily 40 manga to choose from there.

- Boy Princess
- Alice on Deadlines
- Vampire Doll
- Otome Wa Boku Ni Koi Shiteru
- Click

And many more~

I'm currently reading Vampire Doll, Boy Princess and Click at the same time, just switching between the tabs in my Firefox window now and then XD

And don't worry, if you're some vile pervert for liking these types of comics, then I am too :P

And read Pretty Face, if you like excessive violence. I think that's the manga that got me into this genre. ^^

Gues WHo's Back, Shadys Back

Ya it turns out that my grounding constituted a one day grounding. Aparantley my step dad doesn't care any more. He said it is my grades and if I fail thats my choic. Kinda sucks but in the same aspect things are easier at the home and I got to come back. I'll check out those comics tomorrow or Monday. Hey Rairi would you mind if I advertised my website on my next post and from then on out?

posted by Chris Mosque, 28 Jun 2008 10:22 pm

Miao

Its good that your grounding was short term, would've been a crappy summer otherwise, ne? As for grades, with english its best to find some guidelines and make sure to look over the basic layout of the reports and such that you're working on so you have a better feel of how to form your own. Also, its good to let your parents or a friend look over it and give their opinion and/or to find errors so that you can make it better.

As for advertising your website. So long as you keep it small, sort of like a forum signature.

For example;

Something small like that at the end of your posts I wouldn't mind ^^

  Not just a pretty face

Heh! Deviants together - United we Stand Ne?
For your reading pleasure Pretty Face is also available on Joe Six Pack's Site - this very cool story site has both free and cheap to download stories from both Joe and 'friends' - if you go to stories and look (I think) other stories or something like that you will find it.
J6P specialises in slow transforms and identity warp/loss stories, personally I love his stories and if you enjoy psychological and sexy gender bending you will too. More importantly his Links page will open up most of the marvelous world of TG fiction for you to love including Japanese sites - like TG Comics the Links page is well categorised and is reasonably current.

Consider me your friendly neighbourhood TG fiction sign post - I went a bit mental about 18 months ago and started searching the entire net for every piece of TG fiction, web comic and manga/Anime I could find - I was depressed and practically out of work (the two are not unrelated), with severe debt problems and I just snapped when Cheeky Angel anime failed to answer any of the loose ends it generated - the manga is better and is actually funny, intelligent and action packed while also subtly addressing some serious issues about gender identity - Viz publish it in English.
Chris, I am sensing there is some ambivalence - I suspect you wanted to be punished because it is how you feel they show they care? if that is off the mark I am sorry. I don't know how they do things across The Pond but over here we actually give our kids lots of chances to redo a failed subject - there is two levels of Further Education - College and University, the difference is that Universities offer Degrees and Doctorates whereas Colleges offer things like Diplomas and the chance to do school qualifications again - things which we call Standard Grades and Higher grades (I think they do Advanced Highers now too). When I was at High School 24 years ago(!!!) we did Ordinary grades instead of Standard - I managed to get two Highers and about six Ordinaries. Later i went to college and got another four Highers over the course of time. I also got a bunch of certificates called Scotvec (SCOTtish Vocational Education Certificates), and even a Higher national Certifiacate in Illustration and Media Design before going on to do a dgree at University in an unrelated subject (Scottish Ethnology with Celtic Studies).

What this life story is supposed to show you is that life goes on beyond High School and there are opportunities - if you are bad at English then maybe you are brilliant at something else - most Computer Jockeys I come across are functionally illiterate (sorry Rairi :)).
Another thing to conmsider is - are you bad at English because you are a bad student or do you have a disability like Dyslexia? If you feel you fall into the latter category then don't panic - virtually every Dyslexic and similar that i have met is very creative and intelligent, they succeed in life if they fight for their place in the world and you will learn to earn your place in time - you are very young and you will surely find your path one day - if you take a moment ot think about why you are not dealing with English or anything else well, seek help and do not be afraid - people will respect you for being courageous enough to fight for what you need. Here Endeth the Lesson, sorry for being such a wind bag :)

Moo?

Sorry couldn't think of a real title. Ok well I was dissappointed that he said he gave up on me passing because it seems like I've pushed him to far with that. As for English. I'm sorry to dissappoint both of you but it is actually one of my stronger subjects. I am just unfortunatley lazy. Now I don't need lessons about how I need to get motivated because failing was enough of a motivation for me. I am still able to progress onto my Junior year with no problems. I will just have to retake 10th grade english in 11th grade and in my Senior year I will have to double up on my English by taking both 11th and 12th grade English that year. No problem.

Now since I like to come to these webcomics to escape my outside life I will drop this conversation.

As for JoeSixPack I love the website. I have read every one of Joe's stories aside from the movie plaza one. I've read quite a few of the other stories as well. I just finished reading Bambi a few days ago. I haven't started another story yet. Bambi left me feeling odd at the end. If you haven't read it I will give you a VERY quick synapse.

It is about this one kid who stays with older kids. One day he is forced by the oldest guy named Dick into a chair and he is dressed up as a girl. After parading around for the others he is raped by them. It was very mature even for text. Well as the story progresses his feminization is continued further and further. Within a week the kid has accepted his life as a female. Then he ends up geting sex reassignment surgery. In the end he ends up saying he likes being a girl better. But I felt torn because it was a very different form of feminization. I like the magical stuff where you don't really get to feel the person's pain but this one had intense pain and struggle. As a guy I was like "Dude just run from them nd escape! You are killing me." but as a reader I liked it. I was torn but in the end it was a very good story.

posted by Chris Mosque, 29 Jun 2008 09:11 pm

  Cartoon animals feel pain too

I would urge you to read the Movie plaza one - for one it has a link to a similar story which is very good, it has cool pictures and it is a classic slow mental /physical transformation - I think you will like it, I loved it. Both Maggie Finson and Xoop did similar stories - all these are based off of Xoop's.
Bambi - I agree with you, I dislike Forced Feminisation stories like this, but I think the point was that he felt too intimidated and was basically screwed so he couldn't escape. My own experiences with bullying when a kid leave me with an intense loathing of people that dominate, oppress and hurt others - having said that it was oddly satisfying in the end even though it left me feeling ambivalent about the characters.
To Rairi - thank you, thank you, thank you for telling me about Manga fox - I have been trying to get hold of the other volumes of My Barbaric girlfriend for over a year now, of course I have it under the title of Your and My Secret but the Japanese title is the same and it is definitely the same story.
Click is kind of interesting and I am currently reading it a chapter or two at a time, I just hope he ...ah never mind that would give it away :).

Faltitudinal

Oh ya I can make up words too, Not like any of you did or anything but whatever. I'm makng the definition off the top of my head so here it goes.

Faltitudinal : The act in which a pilot of an aircraft has difficulty and therefor fails to achieve the proper altitude needed to fly safely in the required amount of time.

Ok that post didn't have much meaning but I just felt like being random. Heh heh heh

  Rick Random and The Randomeers

Free floating ones consciousness and allowing ideas to flow forth like the wellspring of imagination is a time honoured technique in creative writing, not to boast or anything but I know from others reactions that I am a spectacular imagineer - able to spin fantasies of incredible complexity from the simplest building blocks - I am also virtually unemployable :). If this was 2000 years ago I would have been a Bard, I have most of the right qualifications :P, there's a reason I play one in D+ D so often. I hear 4th Ed Bards are an insult though so I suppose fun's over now :(.

(Lousy 4th Ed pandering to MMORPG generation non hard core gamers....mutter, mutter, rant rage...)
